Indian People’s Congress is evolutionary in its vision and revolutionary in aim. This vision encompasses humanity and is not confined to any single country. However, the humanity is still divided by nations and races and she has to march forward on her evolutionary course – along with her economics, social and cultural formations – from this divided position. Changes in these triple spheres would have to be achieved by people nation by nation. Nobody knows which one of nations of the world would take the lead in the impending changes in the forward movement of humanity towards an enlightened self-governance; no one knows which one nation-segment of humanity would rebel first to the modern-day de-humanizing conditions imposed upon them. India has a very long history of a culture that is crafted by an ancient current of spiritualism. This ancient – and still alive -spiritualism has been richly nurtured in many ways by a great pool of religions and their manifold divisions. Because of this single factor, Indian people in comparison to the peoples of other nations are placed in somewhat advantageous position. Because of this single factor, Indian people resent these suffocating triple conditions the most – suffocating to their body, mind and soul. India is ideally placed today to begin the process – the process of change. Indian People’s Congress is a political instrument – a political vehicle of people’s democratic will. A political instrument of people’s democratic will alone can initiate this process of change. Let India march to a golden age – an age of enlightened human life! An age of a collective human living where science and technology are put to serve humanity alone! Let India march towards an age where these science and technology would not become the cause to render humans workless amid booming industries, de-humanized miserable amid mountain of wealth, depraved minds amid modern-day knowledge. This vision is profound for the good of mankind; this vision is humane in its workings. Materially, this vision is just for humanity and spiritually it harms none. Let we humans move ahead collectively on this path for a better tomorrow. Let we Indians take a lead on this path – a lead that may pave the way for others to follow.
